Description

The Choucas Pro is a minimalist and uncluttered model, ideal for the most challenging excursions and technical mountaineering. It has four gear loops, four waist belt ice screw slots, a waist speed buckle and a reinforced belay loop for extreme versatility and technicality.

Its patented large leg loops opening allows you to safely secure it with crampons or skis on.

Supposed to be unisex but not great for women

A lot of things are great about this harness but I really think blue ice missed a trick not having adjustable elasticated rear straps. It's common knowledge that the distance between a woman's leg loops and waist belt is longer than for a man, so if you are making a "unisex" harness it seems obvious that this distance should be adjustable. It works at the front where the leg loops can sit quite high to compensate, but the elasticated straps at the back are too short. I can just about wear this harness so will use it as it is what I need for winter climbing, but it could be more comfortable and I imagine the straps will wear out much quicker due to the unnecessary tension they are under.
