Description

The superlight expedition alpine climbing pack dedicated to committed alpinists looking for achieving ambitious projects in the most demanding environments on the planet.

In addition to being very light and supporting heavy loads while being comfortable to carry, it can also be stripped down to be used during the ascent. A steal for all those looking for ultimate versatility and minimalism.

The pack can be adjusted to the load and volumes requirements during an expedition.

The optimized fit and carry structure handles heavy loads extremely well, while remaining comfortable when climbing. It can be stripped down by approx 200g. The materials used ensure an incredible weight/strength ratio and are ultra-resistant to UV, which are very present at high altitude. The Stache was used and tested in high altitude environments by several of our athletes and professional mountain partners. Their feedback was applied to find the perfect balance between being light weight and versatile.

I agree with Darren - it's a very good backpack- "simplicity & lightness combined with adaptability"
I've used it for the linear mountaneering (15 days, South Pamir, 4-5k) with 28kg start and 18 kg finish weight.
It's clear, that different climbers have a very different wishes, how it could be more better.
As for me, I would like to have:

1. Mesh pockets at the bottom of the both backpack's sides - it prevents sticks or mat fall down and allow to put adfitional water in plastic bottles.

2. 110l version with more wide back.

I would also suggest to split and put additional cryngle at the middle strainer (see photo below)
and to take additional care about "power attachment points" (another photo) - they look not bad, but I would like to see here zigzag or (better) long rest of cord to distribute the load not in seam only, but onto side fabric too.

I have the feelng, that at the end of trip the belt buckle didn't work perfect, but I cannot reproduce the problem now at home and see no clear damages. May be the hollow in buckle shoul be slightly deeper to ensure the durable fixing.

There was also a bore at the bottom of frame's pocket, but probably due to my own inaccuracy due to maintaining.

Thank you!

ideal packrafting pack

On a packrafting trip in the Tien Shan mountains we hauled 28kg each, carrying our paddling kit to the start of the river.
The Stache90 offers enough volume, to carry everything and it did hold up well. 28kg are never comfortable but the suspension system is good enough to make it bearable.
We did not use the small steel frame, so we could roll up the pack to store it inside our boats. This makes ist an ideal pack for packrafting adventures.

Great pack

Just tested the pack on a day trip: extremely light weight, no unnecessary extras, but everything you need is there. The handling of compression straps and suspension is very smooth, great first imperssion!
However I have not carried it with heavy weights jet and will give feedback, once I tested over 20kg, which is what I will use it for!

Stache 90. Simplicity & lightness combined with adaptability

This is a great backpack. So light for its capacity but adaptable at the same time. I will be taking it to Antarctica for Mount Vinson and other adventures.

Super ergonomic backpack

I tested the backpack to guide Picu Urriellu for a month and it fit everything: tent, food, clothing, climbing equipment, mats.
The route was about 10km with 800m of elevation gain.
It has been the best trekking with weight that I have done so far, the trapezoids have not bothered me at all.

For me the only thing it has is the removable lid, very small for when you have a full backpack.

That's why my final grade would be 8.5 out of 10
